Schearer’s Sales & Service, Inc. – 18 Years And Counting
by schearerswpadmin July 8, 2013July 6, 1995… I still remember like it was yesterday. The day Schearer’s Sales & Service, Inc. came to life. My childhood dream actually came true! I walked into the bank that morning a 23 year old with next to nothing and came out a small business owner (and a lot of weight on my shoulders). Of course I would never have been able to make it happen without the help of my soon to be wife Christy, my parents, Ken Miller, and all of my great Customers.
A lot has changed over the years. There was a time when we only serviced and sold Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. We now service all make and model vehicles, but continue to focus only on sales of Volkswagen and Audi. One really big change is where our Customers come from. There was a time when it was common for Customers to drive all the way to Mertztown from Lancaster, Bethlehem, Philadelphia, Scranton, etc. just to have Schearer’s service their vehicles. While we still have multiple Customers who make that same trip, our focus is much more local. Coming from Macungie, Alburtis, Kutztown, Topton, Fleetwood, Breinigsville, Allentown, and Reading…. Pretty much from all over Berks and Lehigh County. With the fast paced world we live in today, I realize it’s tough to take that 30 minute trip one way and I greatly appreciate all who do!
One thing that hasn’t changed though is that we focus on what is best for our Customer. We’ve earned our Customers trust over the years by offering options for repair, the benefits of one way verses the other rather than just telling you what is needed and leaving you to decide what to do on your own, and of course high quality service backed by our 24 month/24,000 mile warranty.
I would like to thank each and every one of you for supporting Schearer’s over the years whether you’ve stopped in for parts, an oil change service, tires, engine replacement, have purchased a used car, or even just stopped in to say hello. You, my Friend and Customer is what keeps us going and makes this all worth it. THANK YOU for helping make my dream come true and keep it alive! 18 years down and many more to go!
